Personal Background
Hello, my name is Judith
I grew up with a garden and five champion hunting beagles. I was born with a pair of snowshoes on my feet, and a full-length snowsuit over my diaper. We lived in a house built so close to the water you could almost throw a line out your window to fish. At school age, in the winter I could ride a toboggan to school with my dogs at the helm.
My family had a summer house where we would use our Amphicar to travel on to the lake on our property.

We have always been health-conscience. When my father would have a weekend free, he cooked relying a lot on what was useable from his garden. My father also built meat smokers to smoke slow-cooked meat, barbeque sauces, and spices, etc. I think this is where I found my bonding moments with my father. This developed into a love for perfectly created healthy, and sometimes not so healthy meals. I have taken those culinary skills and applied them to veggies!
My mother was a Pastor which is where the passion that I have for fairness and equality derives. Her very deep roots in Christianity, believing that treating someone the way you would want to be treated created a passion in me for all people including those incarcerated inside The Prison Industrial Complex. This in turn has led me to subjects such as "School to prison pipeline", Prison reform, non-violent resolutions, and an interest in the Save the Kids project: Nutrition for all.
